“The Cross”

Vance Havner’s famous statement said this, “We need men of the cross, with the message of the cross, bearing the marks of the cross.”  This is a call to the church to be focused on the most important theme of all creation and that is the death of the Creator on the cross.  Not only that but we must carry the message of the cross to a dying and lost world.  Lastly, for anyone to hear that message we must have the marks of the cross that shows evidence that we have been crucified with Christ and no longer live for ourselves but for Jesus who died in our place.  

Dear church, as we are drawing close to the return of Christ let us focus and arrange our lives to be people of the cross.  This world is focused on the material and not on the greatest message of all that “Christ died for sinners…”  Pastor Mark
