What is Celebrate Recovery?
Our society is becoming more and more complex. Kids now have three sets of grandparents. Sexual addiction for men and women is growing at an exponential rate. Divorce is at an all time high — for Christians.
This is our reality.
Celebrate Recovery is a grace-filled community of strugglers who courageously enter this space to get honest about our pain, and the negative ways we may see ourselves, God, and others. In this process, we come to accept that some of the habits we have developed to escape our pain may have hurt us and those close to us.
It is a biblically based approach to help us achieve long lasting recovery by healing our hurts, guiding us toward new healthy truths, and developing life-giving habits.
At Celebrate Recovery you will find other adults who can share and relate to whatever it is that you may be struggling with: relationships, finances, anger, food, anxiety, alcohol, trauma, substances, abuse, etc…
We believe that Jesus has the power to help us recognize where we are stuck, that He gives us the power to overcome any hurt, habit or hang-up we may be facing, and that when we work through our recovery within a community that loves, supports, listens and encourages each other, we find true freedom. We hope that you will give recovery a chance and that you will keep coming back because “it works and you’re worth it!”
What to Expect at Granite Hills’ Celebrate Recovery:
Dinner is at 5:45 p.m.
Dinner is a free prepared meal or a potluck (2nd and last Tuesdays of every month)
Large Group starts at 6:30 p.m.
Here is where you will experience and participate in worship, hear devotions, testimonies, or lessons. On the last Tuesday of every month, we have a “chip celebration”. This is a time dedicated to admitting where we need surrender and celebrating key milestones in our recovery journeys.
Small Share
Immediately following Large Group, we separate into smaller, gender-specific, groups in order to share what is on our hearts and listen to others share about their struggles and victories.
Child Care
We provide free childcare every Tuesday night by licensed and background checked workers in order to ensure that no one misses out on Jesus’ healing work. We invite you to bring your children who are 12 years old and under.
