Dear church, it has been one of my greatest joys to teach and disciple our youth for almost seven years now, and I want to thank you for all the prayer and practical support you have invested in the next generation of the Kingdom of God! Over the past seven years I have watched timid preteens grow into daring disciples and wise witnesses of the wonderful works of Jesus! I have seen the Holy Spirit transform resistant rebels into humble, affectionate followers of Jesus! I have witnessed worldly teens acquiring a taste for God’s Word so much so that they cannot help but share this Living Water with others languishing for meaning and purpose like they once did! I have beheld young men and young women of this rising generation gazing at the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ and being changed into His image! I have observed teens testing their Spirit-given gifts in the life of this church, stretching and sharpening the skills God has given them for His glory and the good of His people!
Friends, please hear the passive voice through all these observations! It is our Father applying the finished work of Jesus through His Holy Spirit to teens under our care that has accomplished these awesome feats! May He continue this wonderful work among us until the day Jesus returns to claim His bride, and may we continue to equip and encourage the next generation, who will carry forward the task of taking the gospel to the ends of the earth!
